Dear Patient Important information about your GP Practice – Chessel Practice
As a registered patient with Chessel Practice I am writing to you to provide you with important information in relation to your practice. We are committed to providing the best possible service for our patients, and it is proposed to merge with the nearby Bath Lodge practice to ensure that both practices are sustainable for the future. This change would see the GPs, staff and patients from Bath Lodge Practice joining us at the Chessel Practice site. This would create a stronger team, allowing us to offer you more appointments and a wider range of healthcare services. This would also enable us to provide longer opening hours at our branch site on Chessel Avenue with better staffing levels. The proposed merger will make it possible to increase the number of permanent doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses available to you. This could enable us to offer more flexibility with appointments in the future. We value you as a patient and we would be very keen to continue to provide you with healthcare at Chessel Practice.
However, you may wish to consider registering with another practice of your choice, our staff will be happy to provide you with information about other surgeries in the area. Your views are important to us, so if you have any questions and/or comments, or you would like further information, please come and see us at one of the patient information sessions detailed below. Alternatively you can complete a survey which is available from reception and can also be accessed via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RMS792D.
We would also welcome your comments via the phone. Please call us on 02380 442111. We have arranged the following sessions that you may wish to attend. Patient Information Sessions
Session 1 Wednesday 15th May 1-3pm Bath Lodge Practice, Bitterne Health Centre, Commercial Street, SO18 0HS
Session 2 Thursday 13th June 6-8pm Chessel Practice, Chessel Avenue, Bitterne, SO19 4AA
There will be further dates available after July – dates will be advertised in all practices
